Jimmy’s realisation – the AFP allowed me to dream big
From working in retail to now being a thought leader in open source investigations, Jimmy once thought he wouldn’t have the trade skills to take a quantum leap in his career and join the AFP – but his hard working qualities now mean he’s now right at home.
Jimmy’s diverse background, being half Filipino and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, doesn’t just make him unique – it makes him an asset. The AFP values people with diverse experiences, knowledge and skillsets, especially for intelligence roles such as Jimmy’s.
To play a part in organising AFP's involvement at the Mardi Gras is so special to me. 'Pride' started as a police brutality protest, it shows we've come such a long way to now embrace and celebrate the communities we serve.
