AFP takes part in NCIS: Sydney

On Friday 10 November, Assistant Commissioners Kirsty Schofield and Stephen Dametto were among some of the AFP personnel at the premiere of NCIS: Sydney hosted by Paramount+.

The series follows AFP characters ‘JD, Evie, Dr Penrose and Blue’ and NCIS characters ‘Michelle and DeShawn’, who must work together to solve a number of challenging cases on their joint taskforce.

The AFP, together with the Royal Australian Navy, assisted the producers to create authenticity for the AFP characters portrayed in the blockbuster series. While we assisted in the making of the hit series, the storylines in the show have been dramatised for entertainment.

Off screen, we work closely with our partner agencies like the United States Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS, the real one) to combat a range of crime types including serious organised crime, terrorism, cybercrime, espionage and foreign interference.

Learn more about our roles in investigations and forensics like characters, 'JD, Evie, Dr Penrose and Blue'.

Tune in now to NCIS: Sydney on Paramount+ or Network 10 in Australia.
