Are you ClickFit?

ClickFit is an awareness campaign designed to help Australians recognise the warning signs of cybercrime and take simple steps to protect themselves online.

Just like drivers learn to spot hazards on the road, we want online users to slow down, swerve around scam links, emails, and messages, and stay one step ahead of cybercriminals.

The more we drive the better we get at navigating blind spots and reacting safely to avoid an incident.  Online safety works the same way: the more aware we are of checking our digital blind spots like suspicious text messages, shady email links, or fake investment ads, the better we are at steering clear of cyber threats.

ClickFit will help you stop your scroll, check for warning signs, and protect yourself from cybercrime

So, if you’re ready to hit the information superhighway safely, it’s time to get ClickFit.

Not your usual BBQ when a cybercriminal tries to flip the host’s bank account while he’s busy flipping snags. Lucky for him, NetCop Gary and Agent Index were on duty and spotted the phishing link before he clicked. That was a close one, mate!

From scam texts to dodgy downloads, cyber hazards are everywhere on the information superhighway. But the ClickFit campaign will help stop you getting burnt.

What are digital blind spots?

Cybercriminals love to exploit moments when you’re distracted, rushed, or not paying attention.

Watch out for:

  • unsolicited calls, texts, or emails from “your bank” or service provider
  • pressure to act quickly. Scammers use urgency to get you to click quickly
  • requests for personal information like passwords, PINs, or account numbers
  • links to fake websites that look identical to real ones
  • unusual requests to transfer money “for security reasons".

What makes you ClickFit?

ClickFit takes six simple steps to stay safe online & protect yourself from cybercrime:

1.    Create strong passphrases – Long, unique passphrases for every account.
2.    Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – Add an extra lock, even if your password is stolen.
3.    Install software updates – Keep your devices and apps secure.
4.    Stay alert to scams – Be aware of emerging threats and new scam tactics.
5.    Stop and think before you click – Don’t rush. Scammers rely on distraction.
6.    Verify the source before you click, pay or call – Contact the legitimate organisation/trusted source directly before clicking a link or sharing details.
