Designed to support online learning and in-person relationship building, workshop participants can access workshop resources, guidance materials, photos and information about upcoming activities.

This Knowledge Centre helps participants translate their learnings into practical, sustainable outcomes for organisations and communities.

2025 Gender and Anti-Corruption workshop, Bali Indonesia

In December 2025, the AFP hosted a regional Gender and Anti-Corruption workshop in Bali, Indonesia, bringing together 35 law enforcement and anti-corruption officials from Fiji, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam. Participants explored how integrating gender perspectives can strengthen anti-corruption efforts, improve organisational effectiveness and support institutional integrity.

The workshop concluded with participants developing practical, country-led initiatives to implement within their organisations, supported by the AFP.

This work continues in 2026 through a regional symposium, providing opportunities for participants to share progress, strengthen partnerships and advance collective commitments to regional stability, prosperity and the Women, Peace and Security agenda.

The AFP’s International Gender Team (IGT), is leading the Promoting Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in Anti-Corruption Agencies Initiative across the Indo-Pacific region.

This initiative supports anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies to strengthen gender equality and incorporate gender-responsive approaches in their policies, practices and culture. This helps build stronger, more accountable and more effective institutions.

This work is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) under the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF)

The Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) framework is a regional partnership of 14 economies working together to strengthen economic cooperation and governance across the Indo-Pacific.

The IPEF has 4 pillars:

  • Trade
  • Supply chains
  • Clean economy
  • Tax and anti-corruption.

The AFP's Promoting Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment in Anti-Corruption Agencies Initiative supports the IPEF's Tax and Anti-Corruption Pillar by promoting inclusive, accountable and effective institutions across the region.
