AFP member charged
An AFP member has been charged with one count of exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol, contrary to section 19(1) of the Road Transport (Alcohol and Drugs) Act 1977 (ACT).
The alleged offence took place on 31 December, 2024. The individual was then issued a court attendance notice by ACT Policing.
The matter will be heard in the ACT Magistrates Court today (27 February, 2025).
The AFP is committed to transparency.
As the matter is now before the court, no further comment will be made.
