AFP member charged over alleged road rage incident in NSW

An AFP employee has been issued a court attendance notice by the NSW Police Force for:  

  • Assault occasioning actual bodily harm, contrary to section 59(1) of Crimes Act 1900 (NSW)
  • Common Assault, contrary to section 61 of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW)
  • Carry offensive implement in public place, contrary to section 11B(1) of Summary Offences Act 1988 (NSW).

The employee is expected to appear before the Queanbeyan Local Court on 6 July, 2026.    

The matter has been referred to AFP Professional Standards.  

As the matter is before the court, no further comment will be made at this time.
