Pakistan-born man charged over alleged visa breach in NSW

A Pakistan-born man is set to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (3 October, 2025) charged for allegedly failing to comply with his visa-mandated curfew conditions.

The AFP charged the man, 37, today (3 October, 2025) after he was located in Sydney.

It will be alleged the man breached one of the conditions of his Commonwealth visa when he went within a prohibited distance of a school.

The man has been charged with one count of failing to comply with a requirement of a subclass 070 Bridging via, contrary to section 76DAB(1) of the Migration Act 1958 (Cth).

This offence carries a maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment and/or a $99,000 fine.
