The Western Australia Joint Organised Crime Taskforce (WA JOCTF) is appealing for public assistance to locate Sydney man Siafolau Siafolau.

A Perth court has issued an arrest warrant for the 22-year-old and police suspect he is in New South Wales.

It will be alleged he was involved in a plot to import and distribute more than 525kg of cocaine found in the ocean off the WA coast earlier this month.

The drugs were seized by police on 6 November, 2025, after they were found in large bundles tied to flotation drums about 30km offshore from Lancelin, about 125km north of Perth.

AFP Inspector Matt Taylor said police would allege Mr Siafolau travelled to Perth in late October (2025) and was part of a group that travelled out to sea at various times in early November to try to retrieve cocaine from the water.

Mr Siafolau flew back to Sydney on 4 November.

“We would urge Mr Siafolau to contact police so we can speak to him about this matter,” Insp Taylor said.

“The arrests of two other men in Sydney, after the arrests of two men in Perth earlier this month, show we are committed to identifying and putting before the courts anyone who we believe was involved in this drug trafficking venture.

“We ask anyone who has information about Mr Salifolau’s whereabouts to contact 131 444. We also remind people that anyone assisting him to evade police may face charges.”

If not intercepted by authorities, this amount of cocaine could have been broken down into 2.6 individual street deals and put an estimated $170 million* into the pockets of the criminals involved.
