Sudan-born man charged with alleged breach of visa conditions in South Australia

A Sudan-born man is set to appear before Adelaide Magistrates Court today (20 February, 2025) charged with allegedly failing to comply with his visa-mandated curfew conditions. 

The AFP charged the man, 34, yesterday (19 February, 2025) after he was located in Adelaide.

It will be alleged the man breached one of the conditions of his Commonwealth visa by failing to observe his curfew conditions.

The man has been charged with one count of failing to comply with curfew conditions, contrary to section 76C(1) of the Migration Act 1958 (Cth).

This offence carries a maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment and/or a $93,900 fine.
