As a Protective Service Officer (PSO), you’ll deliver essential protective services while working alongside Defence at the Naval Communications Station Harold E Holt, located just 10 minutes from Exmouth. Combining meaningful work with an exceptional coastal lifestyle, Exmouth offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national security in one of Australia's most spectacular locations.

What you'll do

As a PSO in Exmouth, you'll:

patrol the facility by drone, on foot or in a vehicle
protect critical Australian Defence installations
be a frontline defender against national security threats.

With a smaller team environment, Exmouth offers PSOs the opportunity to take on diverse responsibilities and broaden their operational experience. You’ll also work closely with Defence personnel, gaining exposure to a unique and nationally significant protection capability.

Over $138,000 after graduation, plus overtime and penalties*.

Superannuation

15.4% even during parental leave.

Basic eligibility

18+ Australian citizen, fit and active, driver's licence, good character.

*Salary is inclusive of 22% composite and allowances including a Remote Localities Allowance, Remote Defence Capability Payment and Use of Force Allowance. The annual payment of the Use of Force (UoF) allowance is dependent on members successfully holding and maintaining a UoF certification.
